Join us on Friday, March 21, 2025, for a 2-hour hand-building class led by our talented instructor, Lauren Haskell. This intimate session—limited to 10 participants—is perfect for adults who have always wanted to explore working with clay.
Come alone or with friends. Feel free to bring your favorite beverages (wine, beer, cocktails, soda, or water) and snacks picnic-style. Since we don’t have a refrigerator on-site, a small cooler is recommended for cold drinks.
What to Expect:
Using stoneware clay, Lauren will guide you through the process of:
✔️ Rolling out and shaping slabs
✔️ Using molds to create forms
✔️ Cutting decorative elements, and learning the scraffito technique
✔️ Assembling pieces with the slip and score technique
✔️ Painting with underglazes
What You’ll Take Home
At the end of the session, you’ll select three of your favorite pieces to be: bisque-fired, glazed with a transparent finish, and finallyglaze-fired.
Clay, paint, and firing costs are included in the class price, and your finished pieces will be ready for pickup within three weeks.
Please arrive 5 minutes early to settle in.
