Wheel-throwing Tuesdays with Lesley 9:30 am–12 (noon) / 6 sessions Starting October 29
Our Tuesday morning wheel-throwing class is hosted by local ceramic artist Lesley Elton.
In this class, you will learn the basics of throwing on the potters wheel starting with a simple ball of clay and transforming it into a functional object. Students will be guided through different techniques including centering, trimming, pulling a handle for a mug, and many other techniques using stoneware clay. You will also get a chance to bisque, glaze, decorate, and fire your pieces.
This class is multi-level level, so it’s equally appropriate for beginners as those already familiar with hand-building.
In addition to class time, students have access to the studio to come in and practice for the duration of the course. Clay and glazes are included.
Firing fees are charged separately: $0.05 per cubic. Sales tax not included.
While we do not officially offer make-up classes you are welcome to join one of the other classes if there is room.
Cancellation with a full refund is allowed up until a week before the class starts and a 50% refund if canceled the week of the start of class.
There are no refunds once the class session has started.
This class is open to all aged 13 years old and up.
Tuesdays from 9:30 am-12 pm starting on October 29 – December 10, 2024

Make-ups and cancellations
Being that we are a small operation, we cannot offer refunds or make-up classes at this time. However, you may make up the missed session by attending a comparable class within the same semester. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and you must ask the teacher if it’s ok that you join.
